Bluebolt implements Simplamo

Mr. Lê Hoàng Đạt is a young, enthusiastic CEO with a spirit of being willing to “try” and grow. When welcoming opportunities from the market, he recognized that the company had to strengthen its internal capacity firmly in order to grow quickly without losing control.

I. The more unstable a company’s internal capacity is, the easier opportunities slip away

When opportunities appear, the stronger a company’s internal capacity is, the more confidently it can seize the chance for success. Conversely, when internal capacity is not yet strong, the business faces many difficulties. Mr. Đạt – CEO of Bluebolt – wanted to strengthen the team’s internal power so every member would always be ready to receive market opportunities:

1. A growing number of customers created pressure on the operating system, with workloads increasing more and more

A growing number of customers was a very positive business signal, but at the same time it created a heavy load for Bluebolt’s operating system at that point. The workload increased exponentially with the number of projects. Without strong internal capacity and good control over work, Bluebolt would sooner or later lose control.

This drove Mr. Đạt to look for effective management software so that, on the journey ahead, Bluebolt could both steadily seize business opportunities and stabilize its internal strength to help the team execute effectively.

Mr. Đạt added: “Basically, I have used OKR implementation software before, and Simplamo is quite new in the market. However, I have high expectations for the management theories on the software, together with the participation and support of Simplamo experts.”

2. The CEO always had to arrange all work and hold multiple roles

The pressure of steering the business became much greater when receiving market opportunities. Mr. Đạt was always the person arranging work and taking on multiple roles within the organization.

Moreover, Mr. Đạt also faced difficulties with the team’s execution. Goals were given to departments and teams, but in the end he was still the one executing those goals.

Therefore, at the present time, he needed contribution, proactiveness, and accountability from the team so he could both grow the business and reduce the pressure on his own shoulders.

3. A desire to build a productive and happy team

As a company operating in the technology field, Mr. Đạt wanted a method to boost the team’s working spirit, thereby building a team that works productively and happily.

II. With the material from Simplamo, Bluebolt builds healthy internal capacity and improves team performance

On April 4, 2023, Bluebolt officially implemented Simplamo in the business. Under the guidance of Simplamo experts and with the cooperation of Bluebolt’s leadership team, the issues in the organization were clarified:

1. Building an accountability chart and clarifying roles and responsibilities – a thorough solution that helps the team increase proactiveness in execution

Complexity in the accountability chart not only failed to bring effectiveness, but also restrained the team’s speed and flexibility. Building an accountability chart was a core factor that helped Bluebolt begin forming solid internal capacity.

Bluebolt’s leadership team clarified the structure and main functions in the system. Building the accountability chart on Simplamo helped Bluebolt focus on important roles and transparently disclose the responsibilities that members must take on. Displaying everything clearly on the software helped people remove ambiguity around roles and responsibilities and promoted members’ proactiveness.

2. Building 2023 goals and helping the team focus on important objectives

Simplamo accompanied Bluebolt in building goals for the remaining three quarters of 2023. From building the one-year plan through execution, the team understood clearly what work needed to be done and how to complete it:

  • Clarifying annual goals with very specific measurement indicators, closely following the plan, keeping the team focused and not missing what matters
  • Providing the entire team with both an overview and detailed visibility
  • Linking goals to specific members in charge, receiving the team’s commitment, and concentrating energy for the coming stage of development

“Less is more”: the CEO agreed that each department would be responsible for three to four specific goals to achieve focus. Bluebolt’s leadership team also agreed and built annual goals in a way that was easy to understand and motivating through specific indicators, all serving the completion of the company’s bigger picture.
